First Impressions - Super Smash Bros Wii U

The wait is finally over. After a year and a half of amazing, epic trailers, daily screenshots, two big Nintendo Directs etc. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is finally out and it lives up to the hype. You know you're in for a good game when the intro itself gives you goosebumps. One of the first things worth noticing is the fact that this game is native 1080p and still manages to play at constant 60 fps, even in 8-player battles. The graphics, while nothing spectacular, are good enough and the characters themselves look pretty awesome.
Shulk: And here we have some awesome scenery
Smash Bros Wii U has by far the biggest and the best character roster with returning character with improvements, newcomers like Rosalina, Little Mac etc. and characters from non-Nintendo games such as Pac-Man, Mega Man and Sonic. To make things more interesting, all characters can be customized in offline battles. This customizations include different specials and stat boosts. The selection of stages, while amazing and maybe even the best yet, has a little too many returning stages, though it's hard to complain about them since they're still good.
I like Onett, but I would rather see Tazmily :c

The music: awesome! Can't wait to unlock it all. There's a TON of different modes and they're all great (except for Target Blast). Classic and All-Stars got some new features, Smash is same as always, Special Smash returned which I'm really happy about. The event matches are similar to Brawl but with multiple paths to take. Master and Crazy Orders are fun "missions" etc. Smash Tour is a Mario Party-esque mode where you collect fighters and stat boosts for the final battle. It is fun, but it can be really confusing, especially for more casual players. There's tons to do, tons to accomplish, tons to unlock and it is all really great.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U is my Game of the Year. It is not only better than Smash 3DS, it is the best entry in the series. It runs perfectly, it plays perfectly. Super Smash Bros Wii U is a must-have game and if it doesn't succed in boosting Wii U sales, than I will lose all hope in the gaming community.

I'll do a full review when I feel like I have played enough, which might take a while. For now
Happy smashing!
